At its core, Dreamforce is a fantastic learning event—there are 100+ sessions each day to attend and learn from. These events are all about making connections between the people doing the background work within the Salesforce ecosystem and the support they need to do it.

I can't tell you how often I've met someone or learned something at Dreamforce that has helped me solve tough challenges for InvestorFlow and our clients.

Attending this event benefits many InvestorFlow clients as it helps us stay current on the latest Salesforce innovations. We learn about the new Salesforce products and get hands-on experience with tools that can drive client businesses forward. Whenever I go into a learning session, I consider how I can apply new features to benefit InvestorFlow client accounts. It's about staying ahead of the curve and bringing back insights to help them succeed.

Dreamforce has been a pivotal part of my professional and personal journey, from learning about new solutions to forming meaningful connections. As a Salesforce MVP, I love passing on what I've learned, helping others get the most out of their experience, and ushering in the next generation of Salesforce Admins and Architects.

It can be intimidating if you're attending Dreamforce for the first time (or the seventh time!). So, here are my top tips:

  • Wear comfortable shoes: You'll be walking a lot.
  • Stay hydrated: Take a reusable water bottle for the refill stations.
  • Bring snacks: You might not like the lunch options or miss lunch altogether. Your brain needs fuel to learn!
  • Plan your sessions: I suggest attending no more than four sessions daily, planning your route between sessions to reduce walking time, and identifying backups for when you can't make your top choices.
  • Leave time for networking: Set aside time to network and explore the Trailblazer Forest.
  • Decompress when needed: If you're feeling overwhelmed, take a break. Dreamforce is intense, and finding a quiet spot to regroup is okay.

If you're a Salesforce Admin needing help with user management in your organization, I might have a session for you! One of the foundations of every successful Salesforce organization is its strong user management policies. In my role with InvestorFlow I've been able to help our clients make improvements in this area that I hope can be leveraged by others to help their orgs.

With this in mind, I'm hosting a breakout session on how you can drive a more effective Salesforce experience for your business through improved user management with my friend Melissa Waselovich — swing by Moscone West (L3, Room 3020) at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, September 18 to check it out.

Whether you're a seasoned attendee or a first-timer, there's always something new to learn, someone new to meet, and an opportunity to grow. I hope to see you there, and don’t forget to swing by booth number 1413 to check out everything we’ve been working on at InvestorFlow!
